I just thought I'd offer feedback on Windows 8.
I have been doing a bit of Twitter based research, and it looks like people are growing to like the OS after initially finding it confusing and frustrating.
Overall, I think it's key that people are willing
to learn Windows 8 for them to actually enjoy using the OS.
I think the Portuguese advert with the boy explaining to customers about Windows 8 is fantastic, and that sort of advert should be made in the UK and US too.
Using Windows 8 and Windows RT is a joy for the most part.
It's really quick and nice to use and look at.

I do have a few criticisms though.
Firstly, the Mail app is poor.
It needs to be updated so it simply has the functionality of outlook.com.
I've had a couple of crashes on my various devices, but this happens with every new OS.
The Store could use more regular
updating and I wouldn't mind an email advertising me the latest available apps etc.

On my Surface, copy and paste has hit a few snags.
When the touch cover is on, copying doesn't always seem to work for me and I'm not sure why.
I've had a couple of issues with my cover as well and have had replacements, but generally I love the Surface.
It needs to be slightly cheaper for it to make any real sales (and this would encourage OEMs to reduce costs/price too).
Windows RT should not be much more than Android tablets (although it's clearly much better in my opinion).

Stubbornness is what's keeping many people from upgrading to Windows 8, so it's hard to know what to do.
I am confident that the people that enjoy using Windows 8 the most are those that use metro apps more than the desktop - definitely.

Has anyone shared or disagreed with my views here? I think it's a very promising OS with a few bugs that need to be ironed out quickly.
