oh and if u try a second time to install the fail update it goes thru its on both 32bit windows 7 and 64bit windows 7

      I had the same problem.  According to the KB article, this update has compatability fixes.  At the bottom of the article are links to self-installer packages that you can download.  I downloaded the one for the 64-bit version of Windows 7 and installedif
from my desktop.
      When I re-ran Windows Update and asked it to check for updates, it did not show the update.  Looking at the list of installed updates showed that the update had been installed.
