Browser window display problems following not one but two recent upgrades
Recently, following a couple of Microsoft upgrades, my browser window (both Explorer and Chrome) has begun displaying "noise" within the window.
The "noise" takes the form of pink squares and rectangles containing lines of densely packed pixels.
They also
"blink", at regularly timed intervals, about once a second.
I have an image showing the "noise" that I need to figure out how to upload.
This is only applicable to the browser window.
All other windows appear normal.
Window frame transparency enabled or disabled
makes no difference.
I've updated my video drivers in an attempt at fixing this.
Did not help.
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Dell XPS 410 desktop 3GB RAM
NVidia GeForce 7300 LE
Need helpful suggestions on how to approach the resolution of the problem that don't include ridiculous ideas like uninstalling and reinstalling hardware.
I attempted to recover/restore back to the point prior to the two upgrades but for whatever reason
(not disk space, plenty of that, over 400GB available) Windows did NOT create the restore points it said it created, and it didn't tell me it didn't or couldn't.
It only created one and I did revert to that.
No help.
Thanks.
