Im running a .exe application on windows 8 64-bit, c:\windows\system32\agentctl.dll was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80040201,noting that i run cmd as admin, please help

No sure you saw thread I get error code 0x80040201 when trying to register an ocx where Kenneth found a solution.

According to him - if I understood everything well - creating a shortcut to CMD.EXE + making sure
the Run as admin option is unchecked in the Advanced properties of the shortcut and finally running that shortcut as Admin allowed him to register his ocx.
A couple of users have confirmed this to work for them as well.

Not sure where and why this could make a difference when compared to [Win] + X / Command Prompt (Admin) but if this works...
